Multiple celebrations in Southall

Muslims in Southall will be celebrating Eid and Sikhs will be celebrating the Parkash Ustav (Birthday) of Guru Nanak.

On Sunday, Muslims in Southall and through out the world will be celebrating Eid-ul-Adha.

On the same day, Sikhs will be celebrating the Parkash Ustav (Birthday) of Guru Nanak by holding the annual Southall Nagar Kirtan (procession).

Thousands of Muslims will be heading towards the mosques to pray all morning.

Ealing Council may agree to relax parking restrictions on 7 roads on Tuesday until 2 pm. Please check with the mosques for the latest information.

Sikhs will be celebrating the Parkash Ustav (Birthday) of Guru Nanak by holding the annual Southall Nagar Kirtan (procession).

The procession starts from the Havelock Road Gurdwara and finishes at the Park Avenue Gurdwara.

Thousands of Sikhs will attend or parade through the streets of Southall.

There will be lots of free food stalls all along the procession route.

The Police advise against travelling through Southall on such occasions. Since there are two celebrations taking place on the same day, it is definitely not advisable to travel by car.
