Southall Shobha Yatra
A procession to celebrate the birthday of the Hindu god Krishna took place in Southall.

The colourful procession (Shobha Yatra) took place on Sunday for the most highly venerated God for Hindus.
The Shobha Yatra (procession) started around noon at the Shree Ram Mandir in King Street. It proceeded towards Southall Broadway, passing Southall train station and the Sri Guru Singh Sabha gurdwara on Park Avenue.

It proceeded onto Lady Margaret Road and at the first mini roundabout, it turned back to head to the Shree Ram Mandir in King Street.
Food (Preet Bhoj) was served after 2.30 pm at the Shree Ram Mandir by the Anand Family of Brilliant Restaurant, Western Road, Southall.
The actual birthday (Janmashtami)celebration will take place at the Shree Ram Mandir on Wednesday 1st September 2100, starting at 8 pm until midnight.
